The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a fixed-term basis for 3 months. This pivotal role will ensure the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of financial reporting, leading month-end processes and taking ownership of financial statements. You will also play a key part in strengthening our finance function and supporting strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Head of Finance, Australia.
- Prepare, review and post journals with proper documentation and audit trails.
- Lead month-end close processes, maintaining balance sheet integrity through account reconciliations.
- Prepare, review and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Conduct detailed margin, variance and KPI analysis, providing actionable insights to management.
- Support ERP system implementation, testing and optimisation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to drive performance and inform strategic decisions.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred or in progress).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reporting standards and financial processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; implementation experience highly regarded.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
